Q:  Can I sterilise the bottles?
A:  Yes. The bottles should be steam sterilised only.

Q:  Can I put the bottles in the dishwasher?
A:  Yes, the bottles are dishwasher safe on the top rack.  To extend the life of the designs hand washing is preferred.

Q:  Can I put the bottle into a microwave?
A:  No. As the bottles are made from stainless steel they are not suitable for a microwave.

Q:  How do I heat my bottle?
A:  The 125ml, 210ml & 270ml (wide mouth) are single hulled for quick warming in a bottle warmer, a pan of water heated on the stove, or a container of hot water.  As the 270ml narrow necked bottles are vacuum insulated, the contents will need to be heated or cooled before adding to the bottle.  Once inside it will stay hot or cold for up to 6 hours.

Q:  How do I know how much is in the bottle?
A:  The single hulled bottles allow you to feel how much liquid is inside by using the scale on the side of the bottle.  This scale can also be viewed from the inside of the bottle.

Q:  Can I use the lid as a measuring cup?
A:  Sure. The lid doubles as a 60ml measuring cup.

Q:  My lid is a little loose, how can I make the lid fit tighter on the bottle?
A:  Due to the manufacture process, the lid may be a little loose on the bottle. This can be easily fixed by placing the lid on it’s side on a flat surface and pressing down until you have the desired fit. You can’t over press the lid because you can simply turn it around and press on it again.

Q: What grade stainless steel is used to make the bottles?
A: organicKidz bottles are made from grade 304 stainless steel (also referred to as 18/8).  This is a high-grade stainless steel used extensively for equipment in both domestic and commercial kitchens. It is the grade most commonly used in the food industry due to its superior corrosion resistance and ease of cleaning.

Q: Is the plastic used in the bottle accessories BPA free?
A: Yes. Bisphenol A has been shown to be an endocrine disruptor and to simulate the action of oestrogenic compounds. There is also evidence that Bisphenol A enhances growth of human breast cancer cells. BPA is an additive to plastic, we didn’t add it to any of our plastic.

Q: Do the bottles have come with a warranty?
A: Yes, the bottles come with a 12 month warranty against manufacture defects.

Q:  My bottle has a broken ring, should have it don’t this?
A:  If the bottle is dropped or thrown, there is a chance that the bottle ring may break. BPA is used to strengthen and make plastics more flexible. Plastic without BPA can be more fragile. This is not a defect, just a function of BPA free plastic.

Q: Will liquid stay cold inside my bottle?
A:  The single hulled bottles and are not insulated, so they will not keep liquids cold.  The double hulled bottles are vacuum insulated and will keep liquids hot or cold for up to 6 hours.
